Accessibility Statement

Young Minds Counselling CIC is committed to making youngmindscounselling.com accessible to as many people as possible. We’re continually improving user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Measures we take

  • Use plain, readable language

  • Provide meaningful page titles, headings, and link text

  • Maintain good colour contrast and scalable text

  • Ensure content works with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers

  • Add descriptive alternative text for images and labels for form fields

  • Avoid using colour alone to convey meaning

  • Provide captions or transcripts for multimedia where applicable

Standards and status

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA (the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2). We are partially compliant: many parts of the site meet the standard, and we are working through remaining issues as part of our ongoing improvements.

Known accessibility limitations

We are aware that some areas may still need improvement, such as:

  • Occasional missing or insufficient alt text for decorative images

  • Form validation messages that may not be fully announced by assistive technologies

  • Possible focus order or visible focus indicator inconsistencies on some pages

  • A small number of PDF/embedded documents that may not be fully accessible

We are prioritising fixes as we update and add content.
