Refund Policy
At Young Minds Counselling CIC, we aim to provide clear, fair, and transparent terms in accordance with UK consumer law. This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains your rights and obligations when booking counselling services with us.
1. Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

If you purchase counselling sessions online, by phone, or by email, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of your purchase without giving a reason (“cooling-off period”).

However, if you request that your sessions begin within this 14-day period, you acknowledge that you waive your right to a full refund once the service has been provided.

If you cancel within the cooling-off period before any sessions have taken place, you are entitled to a full refund.
2. Cancellations and Rescheduling (Service Terms)

48 Hours’ Notice: You must give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a booked session.

More than 48 Hours’ Notice: You may cancel or reschedule at no cost, and a full refund will be issued if requested.

Less than 48 Hours’ Notice / Non-Attendance (“No Shows”): The full session fee will be charged, and no refund will be issued.

Block Bookings / Packages: If you have pre-paid for multiple sessions, unused sessions may be rescheduled (with 48 hours’ notice) but are non-refundable once the first session has taken place.
3. Cancellations by Young Minds Counselling CIC

If we need to cancel or reschedule a session due to counsellor illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered either:

A rescheduled session at a convenient time, or

A full refund if rescheduling is not possible.

4. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed using the same payment method used at the time of booking.

Refunds will be issued within 10 working days of confirmation.
5. Exceptional Circumstances

We recognise that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances happen. We may, at our discretion, consider refund or rescheduling requests made outside of the standard cancellation terms.
6. Data Protection (GDPR Compliance)

Any personal information you provide in relation to cancellations or refunds will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and GDPR regulations.

We only collect and process the minimum data necessary to action your request and will not share it with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.
